Thermal Doors

Doors are the passageway to our homes. In addition to welcoming friends and family, doors also serve as barriers to the outside environment. As such, a door should provide a family with security, durability, energy-efficiency, as well as noise abatement.

Today there are a variety of durable and efficient plastic solutions for doors that are easy to maintain and can provide greater R-values than many other materials. Despite their light-weight properties, plastic doors are extremely durable. In fact, the growing use of plastic door products has validated their strength, energy-efficiency and acoustic value.

Entry doors with a foam plastic core can inhibit sound and add insulation value that can help lower heating and cooling energy needs. Sealant foams also can be used to caulk around windows, doors and sill plates to seal against unwanted air infiltration.
