Siding

Your home exterior not only provides the necessary security for your family, but it can serve as a means of providing comfort, leisure and efficiency. With a growing acceptance by the marketplace, as well as increasing architectural variety, vinyl siding is found on the exterior of homes, apartment buildings, assisted living facilities, office parks and other buildings across the country. Appreciated for its durability, ease of maintenance, and versatility, as well as its low installation cost, vinyl siding is a solution for exterior cladding products on residential and light commercial buildings. Less painting, staining or difficult cleaning means vinyl can be easier to maintain.

Beyond providing the possibility of short- and long-term monetary savings to homeowners, the use of plastic products for exterior siding is also a building solution. Since vinyl is significantly lighter in weight than some alternative materials, energy is saved during initial transportation. Vinyl siding and accessories are recyclable, both pre-use (e.g., manufacturing off-cuttings and construction site waste) and post-use (e.g., removal at end of useful life—Recycling is not available everywhere; check with your local community recycling facility). “Pre-use vinyl siding scrap is often in prime condition for recycling, provided collection facilities are available that will minimize contamination from other materials,” reports vinylbydesign.com. Vinyl siding and accessories are also durable products, offering cost savings, as well as energy savings in terms of avoiding the need to manufacture replacement parts.
